Popl alternatives, compared honestly
What their pricing page says today, what ours costs, and who each one suits.
Popl sells digital cards and event lead capture and asks you to request a quote rather than reading a price. This site publishes its price, gives you one card on your own link for nothing, and prints its NFC cards at a price on the page.
Why people look past a quote
A quote is the right shape for a large company buying hundreds of seats with a contract behind them. It is the wrong shape for one person who wants to know, before signing up for anything, what the card will cost them in a year.
That is the difference this page is about. Nothing here says a quoted price is a bad price; it says that a published one lets you decide on your own, at midnight, without a meeting in the calendar.

Everything in their column was read on Popl's own pages on 22 September 2026, and each row links the page it came from. Prices move, so check theirs there before you decide.
Their pricing page prints no figure at all, so there is no price of theirs to put beside ours. The only honest row is the one that says so.
Popl compared with this site
Their page is written for a revenue team: badge scanning at events, enrichment of the list afterwards, and the row landing in Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo. If those three words are how your week is organised, read their page first.
Ours is written for the person handing the card over. Your details sit at your own address, a lead form on the card collects whoever writes to you, and the whole of it is free to try before any money changes hands.
Where Popl is the better choice
Said plainly, because a comparison you can disprove in one click is worth nothing.
- A sales team that lives inside Salesforce, HubSpot or Marketo: their page is written for exactly that, and ours is not.
- Scanning badges at a trade show, which is a job of its own and one they name on their own page.
- A buyer who wants one negotiated quote for a whole company rather than a price list.

How much does Popl cost?
Their pricing page prints no figure. It says pricing is customised and asks you to request it or book a demo, so the only honest answer here is to ask them.
Can I move my contacts across?
Your contacts belong to you. Export them from wherever they sit now and keep them; nothing here asks you to abandon a list to sign up.
Do I need to buy hardware to start?
Not here. There is nothing to buy, nothing to wait for in the post, and the card works from the moment you publish it.
Will my card still work if I stop paying?
Anybody who already saved your details or your wallet pass keeps them, and the card stays readable. Editing it and keeping new messages need an active plan.
See the price before you sign up
The plans page has the whole of it, and the free card needs no decision at all.
