Digital business cards

One link, one code, and details that are never out of date.

A digital business card is your card on a web link instead of on paper. Yours lives at your own address, carries your photo, contact buttons and a QR code, saves to a phone in one tap, and changes the moment you edit it.

In plain words

What a digital business card is

It is a page of your own at your own address, made of the same details a paper card carries: your name, your job, your company, your photo, and a button for each way you want to be reached.

You share it three ways. Show the QR code and their camera opens it. Send the link in a message. Or hand over a printed card with the code on it, which is the same thing with a piece of paper in front.

The reader needs no app and no account. It opens in the browser their phone already has, and one tap puts your details into their contacts. On an iPhone, Safari can add it to the home screen; on Android, Chrome does the same, and after that it opens like any other app.

The part that paper cannot do is the editing. Change your number once and every card you have ever shared points at the new one, including the codes printed on paper you handed out last year.

Step by step

How to make a digital business card

Step 01

Choose your address

Pick the name your card lives under. That is the link you will be sharing from then on.

Step 02

Fill it in

Your name, job, company, photo and the buttons you want: a call, a message, an email, your website.

Step 03

Publish it

Publishing puts it live and draws the QR code that opens it. Nothing is shown until you publish.

Step 04

Share it

Show the code, send the link, or print a card that carries the code. Edit whenever you like; the link never changes.

Clear answers

Questions about digital business cards

Does the other person need an app?

No. No app, no download and no account. The link or the QR code opens in the browser their phone already has, and their details save in seconds.

How do they save my card to their contacts?

They tap Save contact and the phone opens its own contacts screen with your name, number, email and website already filled in. They press Save.

Can I have a digital business card for free?

Yes. One card on your own link is free for as long as you like, and it carries a small line naming the site. A paid plan takes that line off and adds the rest.

What happens to my card if I stop paying?

Anybody who already saved your card or your wallet pass keeps your details. The card itself stays readable; editing it, keeping new messages and sending alerts need an active plan.

Can I use it with a printed card?

That is the best way to use it. Put the QR code on the paper card, and the person who kept the paper always lands on the details you changed most recently.

Is a digital business card the same as a digital visiting card?

Yes. The words change with the country and the card does not. There is a page for that word too, with the sizes and habits of South Asia and the Gulf.
