QR code business card
The square that turns a piece of paper into something their phone can keep.
A QR code business card carries a square code that opens your details on the reader's phone. Every card made here can print its own code, and your digital business card shows one on screen, so nobody has to type a name or a number.
What the code should point at
A code is only as good as what it opens. A code that opens a PDF, or a company home page, or a contact file that half the phones refuse, wastes the one moment somebody was willing to point a camera at you.
The code here opens your card: a page with your name, your photo, your buttons, and a Save contact button that fills their phone's own contacts screen in for them.
Because the code points at a link rather than at your details themselves, the details behind it can change. The card in their wallet from last year still lands on your current number.
And the scans are counted. Your Links and QR screen shows how often the code was used, which is the only honest way to know whether the card is doing anything at all.

The same square, four very different results.
| What happens | Verdict | |
|---|---|---|
| A contact file | Some phones save it, some show a file they cannot open | Unreliable |
| A company home page | They arrive somewhere that is not about you | A wasted scan |
| A PDF of the card | A picture of a card on a phone screen | Nothing to tap |
| Your digital card | Your details, with one tap to save them | What the code here does |
How to put a QR code on a business card
Make the digital card
It is what the code will open. Your own link, your details, your buttons.
Publish it
Publishing puts the card live and draws its code. A code for an unpublished card would open nothing.
Put the code on the design
In the maker, the designs with a code slot draw it straight onto the card at a size that scans.
Test it before you print a hundred
Print one, point a phone at it, and check it opens your card. Then print the rest.
Questions about QR codes on cards
Do QR code business cards need an app?
No. Every recent phone reads a code with its own camera, and the link opens in the browser it already has.
Can I change where the code points after the cards are printed?
The code points at your card's link, and that link does not change. What is on the card behind it is yours to edit whenever you like, so printed cards never go out of date.
How big should the code be on the card?
About 2 cm square is comfortable for a phone held at arm's length. The designs here draw it at a size that scans, with quiet space around it.
Can I see how often my code is scanned?
Yes. Your Links and QR screen counts the taps and the scans, so you know whether the code is being used at all.
Does the free plan include a QR code?
Yes. The card's own code is part of the free plan; more tracked links and their own codes come with a paid one.
