Order business cards online

The design comes first, and it is the part that decides how the order turns out.

Ordering business cards online starts with the design. Make yours here in a couple of minutes, free and with no account, then download the print-ready PDF with bleed and crop marks that any online printer or local print shop will accept.

In plain words

What an online printer actually needs from you

A print-ready PDF at 300 DPI, with a 3 mm bleed on every side and crop marks showing where the blade goes. That is the whole list, and it is exactly what the maker downloads.

Most trouble with an online order starts before the order: a picture pulled off a screen at 72 DPI, no bleed, so a white hairline appears down one edge of the finished card, or text sitting so close to the trim that a millimetre of drift cuts into it.

The maker keeps those three things right for you. The design is drawn at print size, the bleed is added when you export, and the layouts keep the words away from the edge.

Once the file is right, where you order is your choice: a shop up the road, an online printer, or our own print shop where it takes orders for your country.

Step by step

How to order business cards online

Step 01

Design it free

Type your details into the maker and pick a template. No account and no design fee.

Step 02

Choose the size

Set the size your printer lists, so nothing has to be scaled after you send the file.

Step 03

Download the print PDF

Take the PDF with the 3 mm bleed and the crop marks, not a screenshot and not a web picture.

Step 04

Upload it to the printer

Send that file with your order. Ask for a proof if the printer offers one, and check the trim before you approve it.

Clear answers

Questions about ordering online

Can I design the card here and print it somewhere else?

Yes, and that is what most people do. The download is a normal print-ready PDF with no restrictions, so any printer can use it.

What file format do printers want?

A PDF at 300 DPI with a 3 mm bleed and crop marks. The maker exports exactly that. PNG and JPEG are there too, for anything that is not a press.

How many should I order?

Fewer than you think if anything about your details might change. A hundred cards you hand out beat a thousand with an old number on them.

Should I order double-sided?

A second side is useful for a QR code, a map or a short list of services. If the back would only repeat the front, one side looks better and costs less.

Can I order printed cards from you?

Our own print shop prints and delivers per country, and where it is open for yours the price and the delivery time are shown before you pay. The free design and the print file are yours either way.
