Yes. A follow-up reminder can be set on a lead for a number of days ahead, and birthdays or anniversaries taken from a lead's own fields are raised about a week in advance. There is also a short sequence on day 0, day 2 and day 7 that runs by itself and stops the moment that person writes to you.
