Making a video-call background with your QR code
All plansOpen Backgrounds, choose Zoom or Google Meet, pick a background or upload your own photo, place the QR code, then press the download button for your app.
In your dashboard: Your Card > Backgrounds > Choose Background
Last updated
Open Backgrounds in the sidebar.
In Live Call Simulator, choose Zoom or Google Meet. The preview draws that app's controls, so you can see what they cover.
Under Choose Background, click one of the six: Executive Studio, Modern Boardroom, Warm Library, Botanical Loft, Violet Horizon or Deep Midnight.
Or use your own office photo: choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP picture of up to 5 MB and press Upload. When it is in use, the screen says Custom Backdrop in use. A wide picture works best.
Under QR Code Position, pick a corner: Top Right (Recommended), Top Left, Bottom Right or Bottom Left.
Leave Include Name & Title ticked to print your name, job title and company beside the code, with the words Scan to connect. Untick it for the code alone.
Press Download for Zoom or Download for Google Meet at the top of the screen.
You get a PNG picture, 1920 by 1080 pixels, named after your card's address. Show Safe Zone Guides outlines where you sit in the preview, so you can check the code stays clear of you; the outline is never in the file.
The QR code on it
The code is a tracked link, so every scan is counted on Links & QR. With Pro, the screen makes a link of its own for your backgrounds, called Virtual background, the first time you open it on Pro; on the free plan it uses your card's own link. The address is printed under the setup steps on the screen.
The code is drawn in your card's brand colour when that colour is dark enough for a phone to read, and in dark ink when it is not.
The screen does not keep your choices. Download the picture once it looks right: the next time you open the screen, it starts again from the first background.
