What is a tracked link?
ProA tracked link is a short address of yours that opens your card and counts every time it is used, so a link for each place shows which place brings people.
In your dashboard: People > Links & QR > Generate Tracked QR Code
Last updated
It looks like yourname.visitingcards.store/l/ followed by eight letters and numbers. Each one has its own QR code, which opens the same address.
Every time someone scans the code or taps the link, one scan is counted. When the link opens your card, we also count the phones and computers that came through it, and the people who then sent you their details. See Seeing what each link is doing.
Why have more than one
Everything that uses your card's own address is counted together. Give each place its own link instead (a box of printed cards, a stand at a fair, your email signature, your social profile) and afterwards you can see which one actually brought people, rather than guessing.
The links you make on Links & QR, and the ones the Signatures and Backgrounds screens make, leave out characters that look alike, such as zero and capital O, or one and small L, so a code read off a printed card can be typed by hand. Your card's own link, made when you signed up, may contain them.
On your plan
Every card has one tracked link of its own, made when you signed up: the one behind the QR code on Home. Making more comes with Pro. See How many links can I have?.
Pro is $0.99 a month.
