The waiting list for a sold-out ticket type

1. In the event's editor, open the Settings step and switch on Waiting list.

2. When a ticket type sells out, the event's page offers a form to join the waiting list for it, with a name, an email and how many places.

3. When a place comes free, open Events, press Manage under the event and open Attendees. The Waiting list is at the bottom.

4. Press Offer a place beside the person.

They get an email with a link that holds the place for them for 48 hours, and they register through it. Each row says where it stands: Waiting, offered and held until a time, Registered from the offer, Offer ran out or Removed. Remove takes someone off the list.

A place comes free when a ticket is cancelled or a registration declined, or when you add places in the editor.

When a place cannot be offered

• The event is not taking registrations.
• The ticket type is off sale. Put it back on sale in the Tickets step first.
• They asked for fewer places than the ticket type sells at once. Remove them and let them join again.
• No place is free for that ticket type. Cancel a ticket or add places first.

Events need the Events add-on, which is $0.99 a month on top of Pro.
