Adding a place

1. Open Wallet and find Places & Location Alerts.

2. In Add a Place, fill Where is it?: open the place on a map, copy the link and paste it here. Or type its two numbers, the north one first, like 25.204800, 55.270800.

3. Fill Your name for it. Only you see this; it keeps your list straight.

4. Fill What the phone says (Lock-screen text): the one line the lock screen shows near this place. Leave it empty and we write a plain one for you.

5. Press Save Place Alert.

The name can be up to 60 characters and the line up to 100.

• A map link works when it has the place's numbers in it. A short shared link without them is not read: type the two numbers instead.
• Two zeroes are refused, because that is a spot in the middle of the ocean.
• A pass holds at most ten places. The count at the top of the panel shows how many you have used of what your add-on allows.

How near is near enough

Under your places, How near, in metres sets one distance for every place on the pass, from 60 to 1000 metres. Apple uses your distance or its own, whichever is smaller. Leave it empty to let Apple choose, then press Save Distance.
