Adding a button

  1. Open My Card on Settings & Look and open the field list with the button that starts with Browse all.

  2. Press the Buttons group and pick a button, such as Call, WhatsApp or Book a time.

  3. Fill in the detail it needs and press Apply & Preview, or press Open Detailed Panel to fill it in on its own tab.

A button shows on your card only when the detail behind it is filled in: a phone number for Call, an address for Directions, a link for Book a time. Until then, its row on the Buttons tab carries a small marker saying what is missing, such as add a phone. See Every kind of button, explained.

Ordering, renaming and hiding

On the Buttons tab, Action buttons lists every button you have added.

  • Drag a row, or use its arrows, to change the order.
  • Type new words in Rename, up to 30 characters.
  • Press the eye to hide a button without removing it, and again to bring it back.
  • Press the bin to remove it.

How many show

Your card shows your big button and three more under it, or four on designs that lay buttons out in a grid. The rest wait under a More ways to reach line that visitors can open, so the steps to save your card still land on the first screen of a phone.

When Save contact is one of your buttons but not the big one, it moves up beside your name instead.

Your own buttons

Pick Your own button in the field list. Then, on the Buttons tab under Your own buttons, press Add a button and give it Words, a Link and an Icon. You can have up to eight.

Good to know

On the free plan your card has one button, Save contact, and the Buttons tab is greyed, with a Pro feature pill.

Pro is $0.99 a month. See What does Pro include and cost?.
