What is on a card page, from top to bottom?#
The top never changes: the cover and your picture, the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons, then who you are (name, title, company, a headline) with your Save contact button. Below that, a new card shows your big button and three more beside it, then the Save this card to your phone block and the Stay in touch form, then your row of social marks, then the sections you switched on, then Share this card. On Pro you can put everything below the top in any order you like (see the next question). Save this card to your phone is on every card: getting the card onto somebody's phone is the thing that matters most.

Can I change the order of my card, for example put my Wi-Fi or my menu first?#
Yes, on Pro. Open My Card, then Sections, and look at The order of your card. Every part below the top is one list: your buttons, the Stay in touch form, your social links, the Wi-Fi, the menu, your opening hours, the map and every other section. Drag a row up or down, or use its up and down arrows. What is first in the list is the first thing people see under your name, so a cafe can put its Wi-Fi first, a restaurant its menu and a salon its booking button. Three things always stay where they are: your picture and name with the Save contact button, the Apple Wallet and Google Wallet buttons, and Save this card to your phone, which you can move other rows around but not move or hide. Each section's heading has its own switch under Headings, so you can keep a section and drop its heading. On the free plan the list is shown greyed and the card keeps the usual order.

Does my big button have to be first?#
No. Under Buttons, The big button, choose Where it sits: At the top of the buttons, or In its place in the list below. With the second, the big button keeps its own place among your buttons, so you can have Call and WhatsApp first and a large Book a time third. It never goes under More ways to reach me.
Can my card follow the visitor's phone, light by day and dark at night?#
Yes. Under Designs and Themes, Light or dark has three choices: Light, Dark and Auto. Auto shows the light card to a phone set to light and the dark card to a phone set to dark, decided by the phone itself before the card appears. New cards start on Auto; a card you made before keeps what it had. Two designs, Night and Mono, are dark whatever you choose. On the free plan you choose Light or Dark; Auto is part of Pro.
How many designs are there and what does a design change?#
Fifteen, grouped as Photo, Plain, Dark, Bold and Business. A design decides the cover, where your picture sits, how the words line up, how big the name is, the shape of the buttons and whether the card is dark. Colour sets and lettering pairs recolour a design; they never turn it into another one. Pick them under Designs and Themes.
Can I use my own brand colour?#
Yes, under Brand colour: twelve ready swatches or any colour you like. The card works out the readable version for you - it walks the colour darker until white words on it are comfortably readable - so a pale brand colour never leaves a button nobody can read.
What are the cover styles?#
The header behind your name. As well as the design's own, you can choose a photo, a solid colour with a dot pattern, a gradient, two circles, a diagonal, three blocks, a photo with a band, a strip of your first gallery pictures, a wave, a bar, or none at all. It is the DESIGN HEADER STYLE control at the top of Settings and Look.
How many buttons can I have, and which ones?#
One big button and three more beside it, with everything else tucked under More ways to reach me, so the save block still lands on the first screen of a phone. The kinds are call, WhatsApp, text, email, directions, save my contact, book a time, a video call, a menu, an order page, a review link, a portfolio, a brochure, a chat app, pay, and your own link. Each one opens the detail behind it when you add it, so a button is never added with nothing to press.
Which social links can I put on?#
More than a hundred, each with its own mark drawn from an open icon set that we ship ourselves rather than loading from anybody else. Nine services have no freely licensed mark, so those wear their name in letters instead. Four that are not brands at all - a newsletter, a podcast, your own link and a PGP key - wear a drawn glyph.
What sections can the card have?#
Get in touch, about, services, products with prices, a gallery, videos, audio, embeds from a short allowed list, brochures, testimonials, your team, questions and answers, events, a promo code you tap to copy, ways to pay, guest Wi-Fi, opening hours, a map, business facts, a PGP key, your own words and your card's QR code. Switch them on under Sections and drag them into the order you want, above or below your buttons; a section with nothing in it does not draw.
How do chat apps and payment details work?#
A chat button takes an app and a handle, number or link, and opens that service's own web link where one exists; where none exists the value is copied for the visitor instead, because inventing a link that does not open is worse than copying. Ways to pay behave the same way: a PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Revolut or UPI handle becomes its real link, a UPI ID or a crypto address gets a scan code as well, and a bank account or a Zelle handle is copied and never linked.
What does Save my contact give somebody?#
A proper contact file with everything on it: your name in parts, your company and department, your title, every phone typed as mobile, work, home or fax, WhatsApp, every email, every website, your own labelled links, every address, your socials, your birthday when it is a whole date, your headline as a note, your skills, your time zone, your PGP key, and your picture embedded when it is small enough. Long lines are folded the way the contact format requires, so it imports cleanly on a phone.
How do I add my picture, logo and gallery?#
Under Images in the builder. Pictures are uploaded through us and checked on the server by their actual bytes, not by their name, and they must be PNG, JPEG or WebP under five megabytes. There is an address box beside each upload as well, but it accepts only a picture already on our own storage or our own site and says so plainly when it refuses; anything else has to be uploaded.
Can I show opening hours and a map?#
Yes. Hours take a range per day with Closed and Open 24 hours as their own choices, plus a holiday note. The map section shows your pin with links to Google Maps, Apple Maps and Waze, and an address row can carry a how to find us line for the things a map never says.
Can I take my card offline for a while?#
Yes. Cards, then the Settings tab, then Pause Card. While it is paused your address shows nothing and nobody can see the card; Resume puts it straight back. Your leads, counters, links and QR codes are untouched by a pause.
Can I keep my card out of search results?#
Yes. Search Engine Indexing is a switch on the Cards screen's Settings tab, and the same switch appears under Settings. Turn it off and we ask search engines not to list your card. It does not hide the page - anybody with the link still opens it - it only asks the engines to stay away.
What is the email signature generator?#
Signatures in the sidebar builds an email signature out of the card you already have: five layouts, seven element switches, a call to action, a banner you upload, and a disclaimer. It shows you how it will look in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, and Copy HTML Code copies exactly what was shown. Every link in it, and the QR inside it, is a tracked link, so it is counted like anything else. You paste it into your own mail app - we never reach into anybody's mailbox.
What is a virtual background?#
Backgrounds in the sidebar draws a 1920 by 1080 picture with your card's QR code on it, for Zoom or Google Meet. You choose one of six backgrounds of ours or upload your own, pick which corner the code sits in, and decide whether to print your name and title beside it. Meet's placements clear its own controls by more than Zoom's do, so the same corner is drawn a little higher there. The code is a real tracked link, drawn as sharp vector shapes and forced dark enough for a camera to read.
Why does my card mention a printed card?#
Because your print design is made from the same card. If you have saved one, the page carries a small See my printed card flip so a visitor can look at the physical version. See Print design.
