Every kind of button, explained

Add any of these from the Buttons group of the field list on Settings & Look. Picking one opens the detail it needs, and you can rename any of them on the Buttons tab.

• Call needs your first phone number, and opens the phone's dialler.
• Text message needs a phone row with Takes text messages on, or your first number. It opens a new text to you, starting with your first words if you set them.
• WhatsApp needs a WhatsApp number, or a phone row with WhatsApp on this number on. It opens a WhatsApp chat with you. See Setting up your WhatsApp button.
• Telegram needs your Telegram username, and opens a Telegram chat.
• Email needs your first email address. It opens a new email to you, with your subject line if you set one.
• Website needs your first website, and the button shows its address.
• Directions needs your first address or its map link. It opens the way there in Google Maps, or in Apple Maps on an iPhone.
• Location needs the same address, and shows where you are on a map rather than the way there.
• Save contact needs a phone number or an email address, and hands over your contact file. See What "Save contact" gives people.
• Share needs nothing. It opens the phone's share menu, or copies your card's link where there is none.
• Book a time needs a booking link, such as your Calendly or Cal.com page.
• Pay needs a way to pay you, added on the Extras tab.
• Chat needs a chat app and how to reach you on it, on the Extras tab.
• Video call needs a video call link.
• Menu needs a menu or price list link, and reads See the menu.
• Order online needs an order link.
• Reviews needs a review link, and reads Leave a review.
• Brochure needs a brochure link, and reads Download the brochure.
• Portfolio needs a portfolio link, and reads See my work.
• Wi-Fi needs your guest network, on the Extras tab. It copies the password, or shows the network when it has no password.
• Wallet pass needs the Pro + Wallet plan. It lets visitors add your pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. See What is a wallet pass?.
• Send me your card needs the Stay in touch form switched on. It takes visitors to the form, so they can send you their details.
• Your own button needs words and a link of your choosing.
