What happens when I run out of credits?

Pro

A send that needs more credits than you have does not go out at all, and follow-ups that send themselves wait until credits arrive.

In your dashboard: People > Notify > Next 20 credits

Last updated

Nothing goes out half-way. If a send needs more credits than you have, the send button stays grey, and the line beside it says how many credits it needs and how many you have. It is never cut down to the people you can afford.

What you can do:

  • Wait for your next 20 monthly credits. The Next 20 credits count shows the date.
  • Buy a pack of 200 credits that never expire. See Buying a credit pack.
  • Choose a smaller group, such as the people who came from one of your links.

When you can reach more people than you have credits for, a line on Notify and on the Automations tab says so, beside the pack offer.

Messages that send themselves

The ones that go to one person at a time, such as the thank-you or the follow-up series, wait. A step that is due while you have no credits goes out as soon as credits arrive.

Take care

A message on a date, a holiday greeting and the details-changed note go to everyone at once. If you do not have enough credits for everyone when one is due, it does not go out, so check your credits before the day.

While your plan has lapsed, only pack credits can be spent, and only on the people you met before the plan stopped.
