Adding text, pictures and shapes

All plans

The toolbar adds words, rectangles, circles, lines, pictures and QR codes, and the Inspector sets each side's background and the card size.

In your dashboard: Your Card > Print Design > Freeform Canvas > Add words, Rectangle, Circle, Line, Picture

Adding a piece

  1. Choose the side with Card Front or Card Back.

  2. Press one of the toolbar buttons: Add words, Rectangle, Circle, Line, Picture or QR code. The new piece lands in the middle of the card.

  3. Change it in the Inspector, then drag it into place.

Each side holds up to 60 pieces. What each kind can do:

  • Words: type them in Text Content, then choose the Font, Weight, Size (points), Line spacing, Letter spacing, Colour and how they line up. Follows this detail of my card ties the words to a detail such as your name, and Fill from my card copies that detail in.
  • Shapes: a rectangle or a circle, with a Fill, an Edge colour, an Edge width (mm) and Rounded corners (mm).
  • Lines: a Colour and a Thickness (mm).
  • Pictures: a PNG, JPEG or WebP. A large picture is made smaller before it is sent, so a phone photo is fine. How it fills the box fills or fits it, and Make it cover the whole card stretches it edge to edge.
  • QR codes: Where it takes people points the code at your card or at one of your tracked links. See Putting a QR code on the back.

The whole side

Choose nothing (press Esc, or tap an empty part of the card) and the Inspector shows the side itself:

  • Background colour, or Fade from one colour to another.
  • A picture across the whole card, which sits behind everything and runs past the cut line.
  • A repeating pattern, such as dots, a grid or waves.
  • Card size. Pieces keep their places when you change it, so check the edges afterwards.
