What is the canvas?

The Freeform Vector Canvas lets you move, resize and turn every piece of your printed card by hand, down to a tenth of a millimetre.

In your dashboard: Your Card > Print Design > Freeform Canvas > the Inspector

Print Design places your details for you. The canvas is the freeform half: every word, shape, picture and code on the card is a piece you can move yourself.

  1. Open Print Design and press Freeform Canvas.

  2. The canvas opens on your saved design. If you have not saved one, it starts from your card's style and details, and a note at the top says nothing is changed until you save.

  3. Click or tap a piece to choose it. Its settings appear in the Inspector beside the card.

  4. Press Save this design when it looks right. The button reads Saved once your changes are kept.

Under the card, Pieces on this side lists everything on the side you are looking at; tap a row to choose that piece. Card Front and Card Back switch sides, and Back to the ready-made styles returns to Print Design.

Take care

Your card has one saved print design. Saving on the canvas replaces the design saved on Print Design, and saving there replaces your canvas work.

The canvas needs a card with your details on it first. If there is none, it shows Start my card. Its downloads work as on Print Design, plus Export SVG: see What can I download, and which file do I send a printer?.
