Snapping

As you drag, a piece snaps to the cut line, the safe line, the two centre lines, and the edges and centres of the other pieces, and a guide line shows where. The more you zoom in with Show it bigger, the finer the snap.

With the keyboard

• Arrow keys: move the chosen pieces 1 mm. Hold Shift to move them 0.1 mm.
• Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac): undo. Add Shift, or press Ctrl+Y, to redo.
• Ctrl+D (Cmd+D): copy the chosen pieces.
• Delete or Backspace: remove the chosen pieces.
• ] and [: move a piece one step forward or back in the stack.
• Esc: choose nothing.

In the Inspector

• Position X (mm), Position Y (mm), Width (mm) and Height (mm): type exact numbers.
• Turn (degrees) and See-through (0 to 1).
• Line a piece up with the card: Left, Middle across, Right, Top, Middle down or Bottom. With two or more pieces chosen, the same buttons line them up with each other; with three or more chosen, Even gaps across and Even gaps down appear and space them evenly.
• The stack: Bring to front, Forward, Back one and Send to back.
• Lock in place stops a piece being moved, changed or deleted until you press Unlock.

Choosing, sizing and turning

To choose several pieces, hold Shift (or Ctrl or Cmd) and click each one. To resize, drag one of the eight handles round a chosen piece; hold Shift to keep its shape. A QR code always stays square. To turn a piece, drag its turn handle; hold Shift to turn in steps of 15 degrees.
