Do pass messages cost credits?
Pro + WalletYes: one message to one person is one credit, from the same credits as your notifications, while location alerts and the phone's own update lines cost nothing.

Yes. A message on your pass costs one credit for each person it reaches, the same as a notification sent from Notify. There is one pot of credits for both.
Pro gives you 20 credits each month, and a credit pack adds more that never expire. The pill beside the panel's title shows how many you have left.
Some things on a pass cost nothing:
- A location alert: the phone raises it by itself near your place. See Does a location alert spend a credit?.
- The line an iPhone shows when you publish a change and Tell the phone when a line changes is on.
- Google's own reminders from the Timing group.
