The Card Setup Progress list

All plans

Card Setup Progress on Home lists seven steps that tick themselves once the thing is really done, and each step opens the screen where you do it.

In your dashboard: Home > the Card Setup Progress list

Last updated

  1. Open Home and find Card Setup Progress. It shows how many steps are done and a percentage.

  2. Press a step that is not ticked yet. It opens the screen where you do it.

A step ticks itself only when the thing is really there, and it unticks if you undo it.

The seven steps

  • Add your name, company & title: ticks once your card has a name.
  • Upload profile photo and logo: ticks once your card has a photo or a logo. Pictures are part of Pro.
  • Add phone number and email address: ticks once your card has both a phone number (or a WhatsApp number) and an email address in My Card, on every plan. The email you signed up with already counts for the email half.
  • Customize header style & brand color: ticks once a design is picked. Choosing a design is part of Pro; a card made from our free maker starts with one.
  • Configure Apple & Google Wallet pass with Apple location alerts: ticks once at least one place is pinned on the Wallet screen. That needs the Pro + Wallet plan and a location add-on.
  • Download Virtual Background for Zoom video calls: ticks once you open the Backgrounds screen and it sets a background up for your card. That works on every plan, the free one included.
  • Create HTML email signature for Gmail / Outlook: ticks once you save a signature on Signatures. That works on every plan.

Why a free account never reaches 100%

On the free plan the second and fifth steps cannot tick, and the fourth ticks only when your card came from the free maker. So a free account can tick five of the seven at most, and four if you signed up with your email, Google or Apple. To reach 100% you need the Pro + Wallet plan and a location add-on.

Nothing is held back by an unticked step: the list is a guide, and your card works the same either way. Publishing is not on the list; the pill at the top of Home shows whether your card is live.
