The "my details changed" message

Pro

When your published number, job title or company changes, we write a short note about it and keep it switched off until you read it and choose to send it.

In your dashboard: People > Notify > the Automations tab > When my details change

Last updated

When you publish a new phone number, job title or company on your card, we notice and write a message about it for you. It waits on the Automations tab of Notify, under When my details change.

It waits as a draft. Nothing goes out until you have read it and chosen to send it, because a change to your own card should never message other people without your say-so.

  1. Open Notify, then Automations, then When my details change.

  2. Read What it says. The words name what changed.

  3. Tick Send this one and press Save.

It goes once to everyone who allowed notifications from your card, and to people who hold your wallet pass without notifications on. Then it switches itself off again, ready for the next change. Its pill then says what happened, Sent, Partly sent or Not sent, and inside the row a line that begins Last time says how many people it reached, or why it did not go.

If the note went out while you had the page open, pressing Save on that page does not send it again. The screen says it went while you were editing; tick Send this one and save once more if you want it to go again.

Until something changes, the row says there is nothing to send yet, and it cannot be switched on. It costs one credit per person, taken when it goes out.

Good to know

With the WhatsApp add-on and your number connected, a WhatsApp version is written as a draft too. See Sending one message to everyone.
