How do I pay?
All plansBy card: press the pay button on Billing and pay on a secure checkout run by Stripe, which shows the exact amount before you pay; we never see or keep your card number.
In your dashboard: Billing > Core Subscriptions > Your cards
Last updated
Open Billing.
Under Core Subscriptions, press the pay button on the Pro card. It starts with Pay and says the amount.
On the secure checkout run by Stripe, type your card details and your billing address, and tick the box that agrees to our Terms of Service.
Pay. You come back to Billing, which thanks you. Pro switches on within a few seconds; if the page still says Free, refresh it in a moment.
We never see or keep your card number: it is typed on Stripe's page, not ours. The checkout shows the exact amount before you pay, and nothing is taken until you do. If you leave the page, Billing says You left the payment page. Nothing was charged.
Paying for other things
- A credit pack is paid the same way, on its own checkout. It is a one-off payment. See When to buy a credit pack.
- An add-on or more company seats are charged to your card on file, in one press, with no second checkout. Pay with lets you pick which of your saved cards pays. See The add-ons: location alerts, packs, WhatsApp, store, events, bookings.
- A team's first seats are paid on the same kind of checkout, from the Team screen. See Buying seats and starting your team.
The name and address you give on the checkout are the ones printed on your tax invoice. See Where are my invoices?.
Change your card, any time
You do not have to wait for a payment to fail. Billing lists your saved cards under Your cards, each with its last four digits and when it runs out, and marks the one In use: the card that pays your plan and everything on it.
Open Billing. Under Your cards, press Change card.
The secure payment page opens. Type the new card's details there. Nothing is charged on this page.
You come back to Billing, which says your new card is saved. It is now the card in use: your next renewal, and everything you add to your plan, is charged to it.
Your old card stays saved. A saved card that pays nothing has a Remove button beside it; the card in use cannot be removed - add another card first, and it becomes the card in use.
Pick the card when you buy something
When you add an add-on, buy more seats or change to Pro + Wallet, the form shows Pay with with your saved cards and the card in use already chosen. An add-on or seats join your plan, and one plan takes one card, so the card you pick pays today's part and your plan from then on - the form says This card will also pay your plan from now on. If a payment has already failed, see What happens if a payment fails?.
If your card is declined when you buy something
An add-on, more seats, Pro + Wallet, a change of location alerts, or a team member's wallet pass is charged to your card at once. If your bank says no, nothing is bought and nothing is charged, and you stay on the same screen with one line in red: Your card was declined, and what was not bought.
Press Use another card beside that line.
The secure payment page opens. Type the new card's details there.
You come back to the same screen. We pay for what you were buying with the new card at once; when it goes through it is on, and the new card becomes the card in use. Refresh the page in a moment to see it.
On Billing (an add-on, Pro + Wallet, a change of location alerts) and on Team (more seats), you can also pick another of your saved cards under Pay with and press the button again. A team member's wallet pass waits on its seat page with Finish the payment instead, so there the way to another card is Use another card (or Finish the payment, which opens the secure payment page). If your bank only wants to check the payment, that is not a decline: the form says so above the button, and you answer your bank on the secure payment page. See My bank asked for an extra check.
Only the account's owner can pay or change the plan. See Can somebody else on my team pay?.
