The "Say hi on WhatsApp" button after the form

Pro

After a visitor sends you their details, Say hi on WhatsApp opens a chat with you with a short hello already typed, when your card shows a WhatsApp number.

On your card: the Say hi on WhatsApp button

Last updated

When somebody sends you their details with the Stay in touch form, the form thanks them and shows one more button: Say hi on WhatsApp.

It opens WhatsApp on their phone, in a chat with your number, with a message already typed: hello, your first name, their own name, and that it was good to meet you. They only have to press send.

When the button appears

The button appears only when your card shows a WhatsApp number. That is the number you set on the WhatsApp screen, or a phone number on your card with WhatsApp on this number switched on. Both come with Pro, which is $0.99 a month, so a free card never shows this button. The form itself still works on a free card.

The hello is always worded the same way. It is not the pre-filled message you set for your card's own WhatsApp button.

Why it helps

Their first message arrives on your WhatsApp with their name in it, so you know who it is. With the WhatsApp add-on you can only message people who wrote to you first, and this button is an easy way for them to do that. See Who can I message?.
