When somebody leaves: handing a seat on

Company accounts

Open the seat and press Hand the seat on: the address, the QR codes, everyone who wrote in and every number stay with the seat, and the new person gets an invitation.

In your dashboard: Team > Open beside a seat > Hand this seat to somebody else

Last updated

When a person leaves and somebody takes their place, hand the seat on. Nothing already printed has to be thrown away.

  1. Open Team and press Hand on beside the seat, or open the seat and find Hand this seat to somebody else.

  2. Press Hand the seat on.

  3. Type The new person's name and Their email.

  4. If you like, type Give this seat a new address (optional), such as the new person's name. Leave it empty to keep the address.

  5. Press Yes, hand it on.

What stays with the seat

  • The address, so printed cards and QR codes keep working. If you gave the seat a new address, the old one keeps working and sends everyone to the new one.
  • Everyone who has written in.
  • Every number counted for it.

What changes at once

  • The person leaving loses this card from their login.
  • Their name and number come off the card's page straight away, so the address never answers with somebody who has left.
  • Any card of theirs in Apple Wallet stops working.
  • The seat goes back to Locked card, and what was theirs is cleared: their own look and sections, their print design, their email signature and their messages that send themselves.
  • Their WhatsApp number is signed out, and any messages still waiting to go from it are cancelled, so nothing written for them ever goes out from the next person's number.
  • The new person gets the same one-time invitation. It works once and expires in 7 days. See Accepting your invitation and setting a password.
Add to Apple Wallet

If the invitation email does not go, the page says so: copy the link and send it yourself. See Taking an invitation back, or copying the link. Until the new person arrives you can fill in the card yourself. See Editing what a seat's card says.

A closed seat cannot be handed on. If nobody is taking the place, close the seat instead. See Closing a seat (it's final).
